Milford Haven is set to benefit from a generous gift this Christmas. The communications company, TFL-Group, has singled out the town for this exciting project which will offer free WiFi broadband for everyone. TFL have already successfully ‘Hotzoned’ the Milford waterway with WiFi broadband access available to all vessels in the Haven, so the technology is proven.
Making use of redundancy in their growing comms network, TFL are able to offer this service to the community at no charge. They do not plan to profit from the offering. They are set to go live with the Milford Haven Hotzone in January 2007. We’ll soon be able to hook up our computers to a local WiFi broadband network for free.
The company hope to extend the network into other areas such as Neyland, Pembroke Dock, Narberth, St Davids and Fishguard. Here at Pembrokeshire People we’ll definitely be giving the service a whirl and we’ll keep you posted with developments.
