Wales has been identified as one of the worst offenders when it comes to healthy eating. Pembrokeshire is unfortunately no exception to this. Well now a new initiative from the County Council is aimed at encouraging families to adopt a healthy eating regime.
Maybe regime is the wrong word but whatever you think about eating healthily, there’s no doubt that people in Pembrokeshire would do well to become more aware of what they eat. The cases of obesity are increasing almost by the week and it is plainly obvious to see when out and about in Pembrokeshire.
It’s all about education. Parents need to educate their children in how to eat properly but they cannot do this if they do not know how to eat properly themselves.
The problem with junk food is that it doesn’t really satisfy your appetite. This is why you feel like eating more and more of it. The County Council’s new initiative is all about going back to basics. They’re not saying you should cut out junk food altogether just get the right balance. And when you do feel like eating one of those horribly fattening burgers from McDonald’s just try to control the amount that you’re eating.
